Presentation: “Masonic Symbolism – It’s Meaning on a Personal Level to Reach Perfection”
What are symbols and allegories, how are they used in Freemasonry, and why are they used in Freemasonry? We constantly hear the phrase, “to make good men better,” but how do we, as Freemasons, accomplish this? After defining symbols and their impact on society, this presentation focuses on four interconnected Masonic symbols – the Third Rung on Jacob’s Ladder – Charity, the Three Steps (i.e. Stages) of Human Life, specifically the second step of Manhood, the industrious and social Beehive, and the use of Ethiopia in the Hiramic Legend.
