About the Event

ANGEL MILLAR

Angel Millar is the author of The Three Stages of Initiatic Spirituality: Craftsman, Warrior, Magician and The Path of the Warrior-Mystic: Being a Man in an Age of Chaos as well as three books on the history of Freemasonry.

Born and raised in England, Angel developed an early interest in religion and mysticism and became acquainted with the strange and colorful world of neopaganism and alternative spirituality as a young man. However, later, rejecting much of what he saw, Angel began studying traditional religion (especially Zen Buddhism), Kung Fu, and fine art painting. During the same period, he began spending time, annually, in a Benedictine monastery in the south of England.

During the late 1990s, Angel moved to New York City and, in 2001, was initiated into Freemasonry. He soon began researching the history of the fraternity and painting several tracing boards, three of which are on display in the Chancellor Robert R Livingston Library of Grand Lodge. In recent years, he has spoken at lodges and Masonic conventions across the U.S.A. And in 2020, he was made a Fellow of the Philalethes Society.
