About the Event
This historic presentation deals with how Freemasons, and the fraternity, played an important role aiding in the movement of slaves from the south to freedom in the north, and into Canada, using the system of the Underground Railroad. These routes passed through many cities and locations where they were assisted in their struggles for freedom. Many Freemasons used their contacts, many used churches, and many were out in the public advocating for ending slavery.
