The Fall Symposium of the Pennsylvania Academy of Masonic Knowledge, slated for Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, is shaping up to be a unique event that you will want to experience in person. Headlining the day are our two speakers who are each providing unique offerings to live attendees.
Bro. Chis Ruli, noted Masonic Author, will be selling and autographing copies of his new book “The White House & The Freemasons.” His presentation, entitled "Freemasonry’s Legacy on the American Presidency" directly relates to the subject and is sure to make you think differently about our nation's leaders.
Bro. Tyler Dow Whitaker is an operative mason from the State of Indiana. Tyler will exemplify his craft live, on stage, while discussing our shared Masonic values. Following his presentation, entitled "Operative Masonry in a Speculative World", one lucky audience member will be gifted the stone that Tyler crafted during his talk. You must be physically present to win, so plan to see this presentation in person!
As an additional bonus, there will be a special display from the Indiana University Center for Fraternal Collections and Research. The Center is an official collection within the University and has quickly attained national acclaim for its unique mission of collecting, protecting, and sharing fraternal objects for the sake of research and public engagement. Starting in October, the Center is debuting a new exhibit at IU's main campus, in Bloomington, IN, entitled "LinkedIn to the Lodge: The Original Social Network." An extension of this exhibit will be on display at our Symposium staffed by previous symposium speaker Dr. Heather Calloway, who oversees collections for the University.
While this event will be live streamed, we strongly suggest that Brothers make an effort to attend this symposium live and in person. Not only will it afford you fellowship time with Masonic scholars from across the Commonwealth, it is sure to be an experience that you won't soon forget!
